about

I wrote this song about the James Webb telescope with Steve McCarthy (Steve and the Sea) in Hamburg and took it to Nashville, TN to record it! It was so much fun to tune our guitars into DADGAD to write about this unusual topic with Steve!

lyrics

Researcher

Talk to me, researcher,
Searcher of the truth
I want to know
Will the truth of today be a fairytale tomorrow?
The truth of yesterday, already one today

strapped to a rocket
sent a million miles away
Looking to the past
and finding the future

Have a safe trip
Tell me when you get there
shield your eyes from the sun
to look at the stars
Find your own way

Ten years waiting
Waiting on a miracle
Miracles happen
But on their own time

A new story to be told
Letting go of the old
Where did we come from?
A star being born

Have a safe trip
Tell me when you get there
shield your eyes from the sun
to look at the stars
